If you have a heart for China but you just don't know how to go YWAM Taiwan's SOFM is what you have been looking for. The SOFM is uniquely designed to prepare people for ministry in China by giving them valuable training and practical hands on ministry opportunities. You start here by living in a cross-cultural setting surrounded by people who are Chinese or have a heart for the Chinese. All classes and activities are bi-lingual using Mandarin and English. The lecture phase lasts for 12 weeks. Each week focuses on a specific topic and is taught by a field based teacher with years of experience.
Daily Ministry
At the same time participants are receiving valuable cross-cultural experience working in ministry teams alongside an evangelism center and a church plant that is in progress. This means you are involved in sharing the gospel with Chinese who have yet to hear the good news. Daily ministry is designed to give participants a wide variety of missions experience. The course is also enhanced by the YWAM East Asia Frontier Mission Center (FMC) in the same location. The FMC provides a wealth of information, resources and field opportunities. Participants can do their outreach in Taiwan or they can be sent out to different locations in Asia. Although we have a specific focus on China we are willing to help you go wherever God has called you. Presently we have over 30 long-term workers on the field throughout Asia. Field internships can be anywhere from 3 months to 2 years.
