TAIPEI MINISTRIES' VISION

Mission Statement: To lead people into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, disciple them and release them into missions.

We look at our ministry location with the desire to fulfill the three different facets of YWAM ministry, namely evangelism, training and mercy ministries. Each one of these has the same goal to work toward fulfilling our mission statement.

Frontier Missions and reaching the unreached is the heart and soul of our base. It is the driving passion of everything that we do in Taipei Ministries. For some people Dan Shui is a frontier setting, and for others it is simply the place of preparation and training before being sent to another frontier.

Our ultimate goal is to see people trained and released into missions. Because of this all of our training programs will be focused on accomplishing this goal. The DTS will not only focus on "knowing God," but will have a strong emphasis on "making Him known." Thus the vision for DTS is not only to make disciples, but to make "disciple makers" who will go to the nations. The SBS will continue to lay a strong biblical foundation in people? lives so that they can take what they have learned and reproduce the teaching on the field for those who have no teacher. The SoFM will focus on fully preparing candidates to be successful in whatever "frontier" God has called them to.

Although we recognize not everyone is called to leave home long term, sending will continue to be the emphasis of our base. At the same time we realize the value and importance of support staff and those who are called to be involved in training to accomplish this task. We are aware that those on the "frontlines will not survive unless they have a good "Support staff" behind them.

As a base we will continue to work together to see a missions movement started in Taiwan as well as East Asia and send more and more missionaries out onto the field. At the same time we will continue to properly care for the missionaries that are here as well as those we have already sent out.
